Continuation off My last Post

Hi All!

Welcome to another “Ideas” Feature that a few followers said should be revamped or at least reposted!

Ideas Part 2

It was fun to tease people with this great idea! Maybe whenever I take a chunk out of TMU, I’ll take a crack at finishing it. Or if by popular demand then I will work on it sooner.

Stay Tuned As always!

Short Stories from My Past!

So this link below leads to a short series, this being the first of the post, and it  was while I was first dabbling in blogging. As you will notice it’s like a feature for the Terran Myth, same in set up that is. However this is not science Fiction, it’s just fiction! You’ll enjoy it. I hope. It is how I gain my first 100 followed in a week!

Random Stories Update

Terran Myth! Editing is ongoing!

Rogue Intelligence! Errrrr no comment!

Distracting my mind with a new story idea. I know I shouldn’t, but my mind is always over active. That is partially a reason to a lot of recent set backs plus my overused excuse of “working” (which is true but still.)

New idea however, living out the story of a character and said character dies then plot twist the character lives in the end due to said person being a clone? Idk the exact details it’s just like a rough jumble of words slowly painting into a story. I usually think everything through thoroughly before pin meets paper.

Book Of the Week! The Forever War

Yes, I finally broke down and finished the novel. I loved it. Except for the over flux of sexual orientations switching. However I’m a realist so there for I wouldn’t predict a future complete filled with a completely opposite sexual nature.

Besides the Point! It was a good book, noting from the time it was written the grasps of future tech was definitely lacking. No fault of JH.

If you were living under a rock like me, I recommend reading it. for those interested in early military science fiction novelist, this novel is one of the first!

Best Regards!

Book Recommendation: Fortunes Pawn

Not the usual type of military SF I’m use too, but Fortunes Pawn was a very good venture off the beaten path. Yes, it is listed as military SF on goodreads but it lacks the actual military appeal as most would. However it has hints of it in there. It was fun to read.

You are following the protagonist Devi Morris (Ms. Morris) as she takes on a security position (which she normally hates) on the infamous “Glorious Fool.” The ship crew is filled with a diverse selection of Humans. The ship is also full of secrets that are worth killing for. The average mercenary last just under one tour of duty on the Glorious Fool. Ms. Morris plans to see her contract all the way to the end in order to receive her wish to join one of the most elite forces in the universe, The Devastators.

Book recommendation! Odyssey One

This is a serious must read book series. The ending is so cinematic that it deserves an award for the greatest closure to a story arch. It’s also not over, it just leaves you satisfied with the end and crossing your fingers for more!

I will not be leaving a description for this book series in this blog post because I want you to venture out to see it for yourself. It is worth it!

Also if you listen to the audiobook version. The narrator changes for the last novel. However the new narrator was incredible! Check it out!

Book recommendation: Royal Ranger

I don’t usually talk about this but this book series was the very first in my life. It’s so old that I was a kid when It was released to the United States. Says a lot.

The Royal Ranger is book 12 of a book series that follows the protagonist “Will” as he grows into the man he will become. He joins the dark mysterious ranks of the Kings Ranger’s.

If you’ve ever heard the quote “One Ranger, one Riot.”

This book series here is just that. And when “fit hits the Shan,” and 2 Rangers are needed for one riot. That riot is quickly put down.

Yes, as most of you have realized this is a jump off the normal post, as it doesn’t reference MSF or SF at all. However with this book series, I just felt it was a must share. It means a lot to me and if you ever need to motivate someone to read some YA, this is a good start.

As always, stay tuned!

Book Recommendation! Atlas 2

The second most impressive modern military science fiction novel to hit the shelves or at least the audio book shelves.

You are following from the perspective of the two main characters from the first novel who have now split. It was a wonderful surprise as was the first.

Rade or as his call sign goes “Rage” is a broken hearted member of the worlds most elite force known as the “Moths.” They make the “special forces seem like Girl Scouts,” as it says in one or two parts.

Rage is a distraught individual due to the lost of his childhood friend; both grew up together as orphans. To add on to his already battered mind, the love of his life, who Rage believes is dead, is actually alive and surviving on her own.

This story is vivid and well thought out. I recommend all who like MSF to jump in and get you in on some Moth Action in an Alas! Well at least imagine it.

A promotion!?

So I have some wonderful news, since my department is still relatively brand new there is a promotion along with the new job!

Unfortunately I haven’t touched my writing in a few days. That all changes tomorrow as I crunch threw an entire chapter like a Viking raiding a wealthy coastal village!

On a side note; who would like to be in my warband? I can’t plunder by myself.

Well not anymore. Not since I took that arrow to the knee.

Rogue Intelligence Update!

So I drifted off to check on my ghost writer! The story has come along well. A few touches up here and there will be needed but thus far I enjoyed it.

To me the ending is everything, it is the last thing you leave the readers with. I want to leave you all with either one of two feelings. The first being a modest “wow” factor or the other leaving you upset and craving for more.

Both thoroughly please me! So feel free to express both when needed. EPD the end of January!

Stay tuned tomorrow for what I find to be some of the greatest concepts of writing.
