Book recommendation: Royal Ranger

I don’t usually talk about this but this book series was the very first in my life. It’s so old that I was a kid when It was released to the United States. Says a lot.

The Royal Ranger is book 12 of a book series that follows the protagonist “Will” as he grows into the man he will become. He joins the dark mysterious ranks of the Kings Ranger’s.

If you’ve ever heard the quote “One Ranger, one Riot.”

This book series here is just that. And when “fit hits the Shan,” and 2 Rangers are needed for one riot. That riot is quickly put down.

Yes, as most of you have realized this is a jump off the normal post, as it doesn’t reference MSF or SF at all. However with this book series, I just felt it was a must share. It means a lot to me and if you ever need to motivate someone to read some YA, this is a good start.

As always, stay tuned!

Things to Come!

Soon to come will be a partial reorganizing of the order post come in. Due to the Keys to the Universe feature of the Sharaj (which I recommend you read because it won’t be in the novel) I have come to conclude that a whole separate page will be well suited for the many more features that will be posted up to the release date of the book.

For those who are tuning in late, the Keys to the Universe posts’ are general information, guides and back stories for things that won’t be spoken with detail in the book.

Such as the overwhelming differences in the tiers developments, the story of the Sharaj, the origins of others.

They are all for fun and for partial advertising.

So stay tuned!

No Fears of becoming focused.

The title of this post is very miss leading and vague. Most of you would think it means that I’m not going to be focused on anything. This is not true.

I focus intently on my stories that I write, at least one at a time. However I will not become known for only one book or become focused primary on the genre of SF. I am solely an action guy; action from ancient, medieval, and all types of warfare leading into a dreamy future.

This currently is my SF saga that I have been desiring to bring to life for sometime. There are many other worlds I have drafted that I will bring to life, but at a much later date.

Action is action, no matter the sub genre.

I just wanted people to know my versatilities do not lie within a focused specific genre on the spectrum of writing.

So stay tuned for many many many great worlds, stories, and alternate realities that the madness in my mind stirs up.

More to come!

Keys To the Universe: “Tier IV”

Welcome back to another feature of the Terran Myth Universe. Officially Dubbed “Keys to the Universe” (it just sounds catchy.)

The Development Tiers: Part 1 of 4.

Here I will discuss the different levels of development between factions in the Terran Myth Universe. These levels are divided into Tiers; I being the lowest developed while IV is the highest developed. Of course I will only mention those that are introduced in book 1.

I have already introduced you to the Nation of the Tireh, which is a Tier IV level of developed society. Their military power is also a very considerable threat to anyone opposing them. You can find information about the Tireh Faction with one of the following links Tireh Part I, Tireh Part II.

The break down is simply based off the level of technology and its frequency of implementation into the society as a whole (meaning even the common folks have easy access to the advance tech). This is how mankind grades them.

TIER IV Factions: What to Expect.

Highly Advance Power Capabilities
Highly Advance infrastructure (Civil and Marshal)
Highly Developed Supplies In a vast array

Details of what to expect in Factions of Tier IV:

-Sophisticated Development of power sources from commercial scale all the way down to personal scale. Normally Antimatter.

-Normal Society is linked via wireless implants, with normalized capacity for internal implanted devices that replace the use of datapads. They interact with these through a head ups display only the individual linked to it can see.

-Energy weapons are their BASIC form of weapons.

-Instantaneous Communications through sophisticated networks of communication platforms. (Usually Within their territory)

-Faster short forms of travel. (Either by FTL or by other means).

-Advance Weaponry (examples: advance battle armor, enhanced battle suits, vehicles, ships, cloaking devices).

-Genetically enhanced Soldiers. (Speaks for itself)

– Usually a Capacity to create clones at will (which normally does not happen).

Not to cause any shock. They Usually own thousands of star systems.

Part 2 here (Tier III)
Part 3 here (Tier II)

A Good Surprise

So as most of you know, or if you have you will now, I work a hefty load of odd hours. Unfortunately they won’t allow me to read a book but they do allow me to listen to audio books. Hence how I have coved over 120 books since January. (I lost count after 120, safe to say I’m somewhere between 140/160)

Well I started a new one yesterday. A MSF novel called “Atlas by Isaac Hooke” and I like it. The narrators voice (I forgot his name- whoops) is dark and heavy so it adds a bit of “dangerous feel” to the story as it flows. The first 2 chapters will be a bit iffy but once you hit chapter 3 it gets interesting.

As for all of you who read heavy into science fiction, specifically MSF, keep an eye out as I’ll start recommending novels by a lot of main stream authors and dozens of indie authors.

Rogue Intelligence Update

Today I have successfully finished the outline for the fun little short story called rogue intelligence. A future partner of mine wants to write it. He feels he has something to prove.

How will he do? Honestly I do not know. If he does good, then you will see it released on Amazon. If he does bad, I’ll write it and then you will still see it on Amazon (shooting for January on this one).

Now don’t lose hope. I can pump out a 40k short story in less than two weeks if circumstances call for it. All these rather small shorts you see on my blog were all written in a day. (No rude remarks about them, I know I never revised them *guilty smile*)

Stay tuned!

New short story to come “Rogue Intelligence.”

I won’t lie.

My last post about the artificial intelligence was not completely a new idea. The idea had already been in the making but I just never had anything to source information from or even get a perspective to “motivate my mind.”
I make original work that I craft on my own. I do not take people’s stories. (If I did I would make a lot of them a hell of a lot better than they are now.)
Anyways the short story will be worked on on the side as well as 2 others that have been sitting in my document folder collecting virtual dust.

It will feature a 7 man command team who will be freshly minted out of Command school Space Academy based on Vallara, a averagely developed planet in their neck of the core worlds. They feel unlucky and upset that they are assigned to an old AI and old ship, who hasn’t seen a refit in 2 decades.

They are shipped out to the rim/fringe/frontier cluster of space where the naval forces there are in need of their most adaptable and quick thinking commanders for their AI assets.

Here they will meet the aging Admiral Rence L. Coopet, who hates his dwindling command over a lawless sector of space. Even though he hates his job and all the political scandals that come with being in his line of work, he maintains a profession command structure.

His force isn’t what most would call a fleet because it is scattered across a large area of space. The number of ships under his command is around 57; ranging from a handful of capital ships to large cruisers as patrol vessels. Majority are patrol vessels. These patrol vessels are meant to operate independently to maintain order and keep the peace. Using all means at third disposal. (A usual friendly AI control assault force and special ops force. – Yeah I like the sound of that!)

Our team rendezvous with the older departing crew and are insured that their job will be more exciting than anything back in the core sectors.
Their first mission? To find out the cause of a vast network of Corruption that is leading to mass murders, unsettling crimes against innocents and setting a frontier planet on the verge of anarchy. Can they solve it in time!!!? I don’t know, I’m not writing it but someone I know will be doing a ghost write for me. If it’s good I’ll publish it, which he will be given due credit. If it is writing like the plot I created or better than I’ll send him back to the drawing board or I’ll just write. Sooo what’s next?

Stay tuned! And you’ll see.

Sci Fi thoughts

So, I have been doing a lot of basic intros into our galaxy. Not just the aspects of how science fiction is incorporated but how you can make believable fiction from facts. Soon, and I mean very soon, you will take part of a combined universe (if you care too). I began with taking the realities of politics, governments, and the drastic seperation of advancement of civilizations and how they control power.

House Of Omega Update

Due to a recent motivation to continue with this story I’m excited to say the first chapter of this story will be shared by the end of the week.

To remind you.
The egotistical powerful House of Omega as survived the corporate onslaught and once again secured its position as a power house in the business world. However they were deceived. Over night the entire immediate family to the House of Omega is attacked on their first night of celebration. 3 of the 4 brothers barely survived an attempted assassination on their lives. Heads of the family are murdered along with their sisters.
Drake, along with his brothers seek out their family whereabouts. Along the way they discovered their folly and how systematically their family was attacked without any warning.
Left on their own, their family in ruined, and all their power stripped from them; the remaining omega family is set on a path that will bring them back to their roots. Their origins-they once believe was just legend turn out being very real.

The Everyday Soldier (OF)

Part of their longest aspect of training is discipline; through tolerance, ignorance or any other conflicting factors that would agitate the everyday soldier.
The more elite sections of the military cannot stand the idea of being detached/attached with lazier groups of soldiers for lacking appropriate amounts of discipline.
The Old Force Operators are trained to integrate with whom they’ll be tactfully inserted into; therefor their superior levels of training and sophisticated technologies allow them too remain immune about the deficiencies of the everyday soldier. Through months of training they are taught the ways for the position in which they will migrate into. Many would consider it a more in-depth acting class, but the OFO must go through the phases of training that mirror the everyday soldier. To capture a vague feel of what the everyday soldier went through.

You only know the Old Force exist, when they want you too.
